In ecological Finnoo, wood is an important construction material. Wooden blocks of flats are currently under construction in the area, in addition to which wood building is also visible in other aspects of the urban environment, such as bridges. The area’s first wooden bridge is already in use, and more are being built. All in all, the area will eventually include four wooden bridges.

The wooden bridge already in use crosses the Djupsundsbäcken brook on Hylkeenpyytäjänpolku. The stylish bridge features special guardrails with folded highlights and a neutral colour scheme, which does not restrict other architecture or planning in the area. The bridge was designed by Ramboll Finland Oy.
The four wooden bridges to be built in Finnoo form a timeless family of bridges, which adapts to the city being developed around it.
